The Duchess pays a visit to the Lake District as fans gush
Kate Middleton made headlines today after visiting the Lake District in northern England.
And the Duchess of Cambridge’s willingness to fend for herself and cycle and abseil has made her dear to fans.
So much so that they called it a âbreath of fresh airâ.

Kate started her mini-tour with a round of mountain biking with air cadets.
Dressed in a green puffer jacket, black jeans and the obligatory helmet, she looked right at home as she navigated the rough and muddy terrain.
And that was not all.

During her visit to the RAF Air Cadet Adventure Training Center in Windermere, she also participated in abseiling.
Kate is an Honorary Royal Air Force Cadet Air Commander.
What else did Kate do?
Kate also met Holocaust survivors, one of the so-called “Children of Windemere”.
In 1945, a group of 300 survivors moved to the Lake District to heal and rebuild their lives.
The footage showed Kate chatting with one of the survivors on a boat ride on the scenic lake.
On Instagram, she captured the image: “It was so powerful to hear how their time in the Lakes, enjoying outdoor recreation, sports and art therapy, allowed them to begin to rebuild their lives and, eventually, their families here in the Kingdom. -United.
How did fans react to Kate’s outdoor activities?
It wasn’t long before the news of Kate Middleton – along with her compassion, down-to-earth nature and love of the outdoors – impressed fans.
