The annual Eufaula pilgrimage takes place this weekend
EUFAULA, Ala. (WSFA) – The oldest house tour in the state takes place this weekend. The annual historical Eufaula pilgrimage will begin on Friday and continue until Sunday.
WSFA 12 News Meteorologist Nick Gunter will be live in Eufaula to bring you the latest air and online.
There are 700 structures listed on the Eufaula National Historic Register. During this weekend’s festivities, there will be a total of 14 Pre-War Houses opening their doors.
Below is the schedule of events:
Friday
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Box office opens at First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Antique Show – Tickets can be purchased through the Chamber of Commerce
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Day visits:
- Pilgrimage houses
- shorter graveyard
- Saint-Jacques Episcopal Church,
- 1st Presbyterian Church
- Church of St. Luke AME
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Carnegie Library: 217 N. Eufaula Ave.
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Photo exhibition
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Director’s visit
11 a.m. Cannon firing: Honan Home
3-4 p.m. Afternoon Tea, $25 ticket, Shorter Mansion (reservations only)
5-7 p.m. Tablescape Party, $25 ticket, St. James’s Episcopal Church (wine/heavy appetizers)
6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Candlelight tours of the houses
Saturday

11 a.m. – Cannon firing – Honan Home
1:00 p.m. – Presentation of the Anmarie Barrie Honan Scholarship – Shorter Mansion Pavilion
1:00 p.m. – Jay Hinton, Shorter Mansion Porch
3:00-4:00 p.m. – Afternoon Tea, $25 ticket, Shorter Mansion (reservations only)
6 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Candlelight tour of the houses
Sunday
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Brunch at the Shorter Mansion, $25 (reservations only)
