Brundage Mountain Resort opens for summer fun in the mountains

MCCALL, Idaho – Brundage Mountain Resort kicks off summer operations in style with the return of its free summer concert series.

The TGIF concert series begins tonight with West Mountain Takeoff on stage, there will be bands playing most Fridays throughout the summer in Brundage.

“The first thing that gets us excited is our series of free concerts on the beautiful green and grassy lawn that we have here in the base area, we have ten dates booked this summer which is one of our most important programming “said April Whitney of Brundage. Mountain station. “

It’s the start of summer fun in Brundage which has a number of different activities the whole family can enjoy including some of the area’s best hikes to some truly scenic spots.

“You can’t beat the two hiking trails at the top of Brundage Mountain,” Whitney said.

To access these hikes, Brundage offers a scenic chairlift to the summit at 7,640 feet and from there people have a choice of two short hikes that go in opposite directions.

“One is heading north, you can look at the beautiful Hidden Valley area, you can see the Seven Devils and the Wallowas in the distance,” Whitney said. “The other goes south to the Brundage lookout and you can see all of them all the way to McCall, Long Valley, and Payette Lakes.”

Brundage also offers mountain biking with ski lift service. This weekend, they’ll be opening all but three of their 12 trails, including Elk Trail, the mountain’s most popular, bike rental is available.

Other activities include a nine-take disc golf course, dining at Smokey’s Bar and Grill, and expanded access to e-bikes on this summer mountain getaway.

“The rule of thumb is that McCall is ten degrees cooler than Boise and being in Brundage will give you five more degrees of coolness,” Whitney said. “So it really is a great way to relax with the family.”

Brundage will be open on weekends from Friday to Sunday until the end of June, after which they will switch to operating from Wednesday to Sunday with a few bonus days added around the summer holidays.

Panoramic chairlift rides and mountain biking access are included for holders of a winter season pass.
