Best weekend getaways if you live on the east coast – NoHo Arts District

Summer is coming to an end, so it’s time to think about fall foliage and weekend getaways. If you live on the east coast, you know how beautiful fall can be. So if you’re looking for the best places to marvel at all that the quarter-season has to offer, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of the best fall travel destinations on the US East Coast to enjoy cool weather, fall breezes, and breathtaking views.

Why travel on weekends?

Weekend getaways are very underrated. Usually we focus on the summer holidays because we like to take our free time as memorable as it gets. But taking a trip for the weekend gives you the opportunity to see another part of the country any time of the year, even if you’re only going for the next 48 hours.

Maine is one of the best places to admire the colorful leaves before the cold temperatures set in. At Acadia National Park, you can drive along Park Loop Road and see over 27 miles of ponds, trails, and an abundance of colorful trees at Jordan Pond. The best time to visit is from September to the end of October. Since the air can be chilly, be sure to pack a jacket.

Vermont is another great place for a weekend getaway. While there are many beautiful areas to explore in the state, you should set your sights on Stowe. This village-like town is picturesque with its green mountains and its iconic white church. Before choosing a quaint B&B, take a cruise on Green Mountain Byway for breathtaking views of the trees. If you are the adventurous type, you can try the zipline at Mount Mansfield and see the fall foliage from a different perspective.

Look for guesthouses that offer a warm atmosphere. Most offer quaint rooms where you can relax, unwind and enjoy the silence. If you like to vape herbs or cannabis and are looking for a vaporizer that you can take with you, the Arizer Solo worth a try. This vaporizer is portable, heats up quickly and offers digital temperature control. It fits easily in your backpack when portability is a priority.

Catskill Mountains

If you’ve always wanted to visit Catskill Mountain, early fall is a great time to take the trip. Located just two hours from the city, the Catskills are the perfect getaway for city dwellers. In addition to hiking and ziplining, you can also enjoy a train ride through Hunter Mountain or go apple picking in Hudson County. Just be sure to visit before November. Otherwise, you may need snowshoes.

Finger lakes

Also in upstate New York are the Finger Lakes. Eleven lakes make up this beautiful region where you can hike, cycle or even enjoy the day by canoe. Watkins Glen State Park also offers a variety of things to do on your weekend adventure, including hiking and biking. There are 19 different waterfalls in the park, so don’t forget to bring a camera. The best time to visit is from late September to early November.
