The HCC, a special state agency authorized by both Alabama and Georgia, promotes heritage tourism, history education, and historic preservation throughout the 18-county Chattahoochee Trace region.

Your membership helps support numerous worthwhile programs that educate residents and visitors about the unglue cultural and natural heritage of the region. Activities include:

  • Scholarship, Publication and education - the HCC has published over 30 books on regional history, has sponsored folk life and agritourism research projects, and produced a Heritage Education Unit for use in local schools.
